It
was designed in Sweden in 1924, where constructors were looking for a
material having the same characteristics as wood (insulation, solidity
and workability) without its disadvantages (combustibility and
precariousness) Clearly,
from an environmental view, the future for this ecological building
system is bright. With the growing need to reduce consumption of primary
resources as the worlds population increases and consumption of natural
resources continues to grow, alternative building products like YTONG
will probably become more prevalent. Contractors
will need to be familiar with such products and have to consider
environmental factors when making construction and remodelling
decisions. Las

on a massive block called YTONG or gas concrete. The block is composed
of only non-organic materials among others sand, calc and water.
